1.3 Organizational Structure of Waste Vision

In consultation with the SHEQ Coordinator, the management has drafted a policy statement. Evaluation, revision, or reaffirmation of the policy statement occurs at least every 3 years. If changes are made, the policy statement must be communicated and discussed with all stakeholders, with a minimum frequency of 3 years.
The dissemination of this policy within the company occurs as follows:
– Training of new staff
– Presence at all physical locations of the organization
– Waste Vision SHEQ system

The dissemination of this policy outside the organization occurs as follows:
– Waste Vision website
– Upon request from external stakeholders

The disclosure comprises both an oral and a written component, and the new employee signs to acknowledge receipt and reading, declaring to have heard, read, and understood the content. Temporary employees are informed in the same manner as permanent employees.

The management will ensure that everything happens as described and will support this, among other things through information and training, and will intervene where necessary. The management ensures that all employees are aware of the policy statement.

Waste Vision is convinced that a policy focused on Safety, Health, Environment & Quality (SHEQ) is essential for complying with applicable legal requirements and reasonable expectations of employees, clients, and suppliers. We firmly believe that through SHEQ management (both assurance and enhancement of efficiency), we can guarantee the best service to our customers and suppliers while minimizing risks. The mentality of our employees is crucial in this regard; thinking and acting from a SHEQ perspective must be ingrained in the DNA of our employees. Awareness, training, and holding each other accountable are essential for this. We continue to work constantly on improving our Safety, Health, Environment & Quality management and performance.
To this end, Waste Vision has developed a SHEQ management system for all its business units. The following principles apply to each of us:
– We comply with at least all applicable legal regulations regarding Safety, Health, Environment & Quality;
– We identify the needs and expectations of our stakeholders during our decision-making process regarding the provision of our products and services;
– We integrate Safety, Health, Environment & Quality aspects into all activities as early as possible;
– We create a work environment where everyone is treated equally and where safety and health risks for everyone, as well as environmental risks, are minimized as much as possible;
– All employees at all levels of the organization take responsibility for Safety, Health, Environment & Quality;
– We inform clients about the Safety, Health, Environment & Quality aspects of the products or services to be delivered;
– We prioritize reducing safety risks over other risks;
– We maintain open communication about Safety, Health, Environment & Quality at all levels, both internally and externally;
– We make clear, precise, and verifiable agreements with the client regarding the specifications, price, and delivery time of products or services;
– We handle any complaints carefully, aiming reasonably for a resolution with the client;
– We support the client in seeking sustainable, environmentally friendly solutions;
– We take responsibility for the environment by seeking to limit harmful effects on the environment and reduce our carbon footprint;
– We treat confidential information, whether our own or that of third parties, confidentially;
– We ensure that all the impacts of our operations on the environment are identified and that innovative solutions and initiatives for environmentally friendly operations are implemented;
– Accidents will be prevented as much as possible. Preventive activities include, among others, the training and instruction of all employees, the maintenance and inspection of machinery and tools, and the recording and discussion of hazards, dangerous situations, near-misses, and accidents;
– We continue to work constantly on improving our quality, health, and environmental management system.
